How to use this calculator
Choose the Amazon.com non-media preset or set limits for your own category and marketplace. Paste a title, Item Highlights, other listing copy, and backend keywords. Add one target phrase per line. Review each phrase by field, then revise the copy yourself before submitting it in Seller Central.
Field limits and counting method
The Amazon.com non-media preset uses a 75-character title and 125-character Item Highlights, based on Amazon’s July 27, 2026 update. Backend terms use a conservative 249-byte budget for guidance requiring less than 250 bytes. UTF-8 bytes include spaces and punctuation in the pasted text; characters and bytes are different measures.
Worked example
The word “café” contains four Unicode characters and five UTF-8 bytes. A backend field can therefore fit fewer accented or non-Latin characters than a similarly sized plain-English field. A target phrase only counts within a field when its words appear together in order.
Common questions
Does a passing result guarantee Amazon acceptance?
No. Marketplace, category, product data, and other listing rules still apply. The preset is for Amazon.com non-media listings; media or other marketplaces need their own verified limits. This tool checks selected mechanical rules and text presence.
Should I repeat the same keywords in every field?
Use the coverage table to find gaps and unnecessary repetition, then prioritize readable, accurate copy. Text presence is not proof of indexing, search position, or eligibility.
